Run/Stop Switch 

This simple switch arrangement provides a safe and easy way of stopping the turbine either during high winds, or for maintenance. When the switch is thrown, the batteries are disconnected and the turbine is ‘shorted’ causing the blades to rotate very slowly.

The Universal Run/Stop Switch is a solution designed to allow the user to brake a turbine “dynamically”. Instead of supplying power to the load, the switch activates a short circuit which effectively brakes the permanent magnet alternator of the turbine. The Switch can also be used with turbines of different manufacture as long as the following characteristics are present:

• 3-phase wild AC, not exceeding 500 V & 16 A
• Wild DC not exceeding 150 V & 10 A
• Mechanically and electrically capable of dynamic braking.

Windmaster 500 (OEM product)
Windmaster 500 is a grid connected inverter for grid connection of small wind turbines. The design is based on the successful Soladin 600 Solar inverter of which more than 6000 units have been sold already. Windmaster 500 is an “OEM” product and is sold as part of a system through selected system integrators. The product is to be installed only with selected wind turbines. A system evaluation is part of the qualification process.
